What is Holding it Big?

"Holding it Big" was a phrase our owner came up with back in the year 2000 as a way to descirbe a feeling of accomplishment and freedom while riding. It's a state of mind that comes from these two things, and it can be applied to anything. When a passion for motorcycles transformed into a business for our owner, the only name that sounded fitting was .... Holding It Big.

Our business was started in 2001 as a motorcycle stunt team that held stunt events & made motorcycle stunt DVDs. From there we created the Baltimore Bike Bash motorcycle event. That was our bread & butter for many years, but we eventually got to a point where we wanted to be more relevant in the local motorcycle industry. We have grown out of the motorcycle "stunt business" and in 2005 the first 'Holding it Big' Bike Shop opened.

We now have a motorcycle facility that is in operation 7 days a week in the greater Washington DC area.  We buy and sell used motorcycles & parts, perform service & maintenence work on bikes for customers, produce and market our clothing line, and operate our online stores.  Recently, we have expanded our used bike sales locations to San Diego, CA, Cincinnati, OH and Ft Lauderdale FL. 

A lot has changed since 2001. There's a lot going on, and we're always trying to stay on top of things. This year is going to be bigger and better than the last, so definitely stay tuned, and stop back to see us!
